I’m Steve Teixeira, a Seattle-based photographer and creator. Through my photography, I hope to immerse people in novel perspectives of the ordinary: a rusted pipe that suggests a mountain ridge, a soap bubble reflecting a distorted world, a bird that looks vaguely disappointed in me. Sometimes I capture that novelty through the lens, and sometimes I create it by combining photographs into surreal montages. There is beauty in quirkiness.

After three decades in technology, including executive roles at Mozilla, Twitter, Meta, and Microsoft, a health setback led me to pursue my creative practice full time. I studied photography at the University of Washington and visual arts at Bellevue College, building on earlier degrees in computer science and business.

Viewing the world through a photographer's eye has conditioned me to pay attention and stay curious. Through my work, I hope to share the joy of discovering something new in a world we thought we already knew.
